Broadband Frustration

The BBC posted this article yesterday. It is a pain that people cannot get broadband, but there ARE options. If you can get line of sight to someone who can get broadband, then you could set up a cheap wireless network (costing about the same as an ADSL modem, never mind the monthly connection charge). There are several options - I really wish people would stop complaining and do a little work to get online!

I work for moviebank, usually at the Stockbridge shop. The branch at Newington closed but if you go to either Broughton St, Stockbridge or Dalry and explain that you were a customer there then you get your money transferred and £10 credit for free for all the hassle. The Tollcross branch is run by another franchise owner so not sure about that one... The Broughton branch is easily the best with a huge back catalogue and all the new releases, plus tons of indie/arthouse. As for being a rip-off the staff are usually very accommodating and there are no late fees charged, all you need to do is pop in between 2-10pm and talk with one of us and we'll put your balance back to zero so you don't lose out on any money if it's in the red. That said, I was member of Alphabet before I worked here and it is pretty damn good, I miss old video-shops like that.

Oh yeah, we also sell ice-cream!!!
